Dr Schweitzer is a world-leader in the field of cell therapy for Parkinson’s disease. He has pioneered neurosurgical techniques for delivery of cells into the brain, and was lead author of the first scientific account of induced pluripotent stem cell therapy for a person with Parkinson’s, published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine.

Professor Michael Valenzuela, co-founder and CEO of Skin2Neuron, will also provide an update on the company’s cutting-edge research and progress towards a first-in-human clinical trial in Alzheimer disease.
